A Texas transplant, Dr. Alex Dougherty was raised in Alexandria, Virginia. After graduating with a degree in Physiology and Developmental Biology from Brigham Young University in Utah, Dr. Alex attended dental school at The University of Texas Health Science Center - San Antonio, one of the top-ranked schools in the nation. While in dental school, Dr. Alex received extensive training in cosmetic and implant dentistry and upon graduation was given the Comprehensive Dentistry Award. As a result of his academic achievements in dental school and graduating fourth in his class, Dr. Alex was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, an honor reserved for less than 10 percent of general dentists.
